In the late 1980s, with a push from advertises the term Presidents Day began its pubblic appearance.The theme has expanede the focus of the holiday to honour another president, Abraham Lincoln and often other Presidents of the United States. Altough Lincol's birthday, February 12 , was never a federal holiday, aproximately a dozen state governments have officially renamed their Washington's Birthday observancws as "President's Day", Washington and Lincon Day or other such designations.
