MY FRIEND TED

This article dels with the film -My friend Ted - and it has been written by Jonathan Cameron. The movie tells the story of a boy who has a teddy bear, when he grows up he asks that his teddy bear could be real, so Tedd became an adult teddy bear, troublemaker, who refuses to go away from John's life. He was was his bestfriend in childwood and now he's an adult and he doesn't need it again. The film is directed by Seth Macfarlane , who provided the voice of the toy, and for him ti was a challenge, and is become a succes. Seth is also know for having created the cartoon -The Family Guy-and provides the voice of Peter Griffin.  A colleague of him, says that is strange to have Seth as director but is also fun.I watched that fil and I loved it

THE HOLY WEEK

During the Holy week, Christians celebrate the passion, death and resurrection of Jesusus Christ. The Holy week is the week preceding Easter and the final week of Lent.During the Holy week we have the : FRIDAY OF SORROWS OR FRIDAY OF PASSION( when there is the remembrance of the sorrowful Blessed Virgin and during this time, faithful Roman Catholics express their religious favor, piety and devotion; Is a day of fasting and abstince, with a greater emphass on avoiding meat). PALM SUNDAY( is a Christian moveable feast that falls on the Sunday before Easter. ITcommmemorates Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. In the churches Palm Sunday is the day when the woshippers carry palms to represent the entrance of Jesus in Jerusalem). HOLY THURSDAY(it falls on Thursday before Easter, it commemorate the last supper of Jesus with the Apostoles).GOOD FRIDAY( is the feast commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary) and at last EASTER ( when they celebrate the ressurection of Christ). The symbol of it is an egg, that means a new life and a dove symbol of peace. In this period we go to the cemetry to visit our dead.

Presidents Day

Presidents Day is the common name for the Federal holiday, official designated as Washington's Birthday. It's celebrated on the 3rd Monday of February. In the late 1980s, with a push from advertises the term Presidents Day began its pubblic appearance.The theme has expanede the focus of the holiday to honour another president, Abraham Lincoln and often other Presidents of the United States. Altough Lincol's birthday, February 12 , was never a federal holiday, aproximately a dozen state governments have officially renamed their Washington's Birthday observancws as "President's Day", Washington and Lincon Day or other such designations.              

American Crime

This articles deals with 3 unlucky men who learned that stealing is not a way for being rich.

In a supermarket in Idaho a man stole a lady's purse, but he didn't notice the suirvillance camera . The next day his photo appered  in a local newspaper and a man recognized him and contacted the police.
Another man in Michigan stole a collection of hunting knives and he hide them in his trousers , but when he tried to leave he fell down and a knife stabbed him in the abdom , he was later arrested in the hospital.
The last unlucky man is Ryan Holle lent his car to a friend  and this friend went to rob a drug dealer and in the fight his daughter was killed .Now Holle is serving a life sentence with his friend.

MY school trip

Hi Laura, 
Thank you for your last e-mail, I am ok and you ? 

Two days ago I went to Caserta and we watched a musical about the Beatles. My English teacher,Esterina La Torre,organised it. All my class mets partecipated to it and other classes joined us. We went by bus. When we arrived to the theatre, we waited about 20 minutes, because we arrived in advance. When the other classes came out, our teacher paid the entrance so we went in. During the show, there were some pictures of the Beatles and the actors some of their most famous songs. When they finished, we asked them some questions like their age, name and where do they come from, their favourite songs ecc. Then we went out and we went to the bus shop and some of us wanted to buy something so we went to a bar bought something then we left. We wanted to go at MC donalds , but there were no time , so we returned home around 3pm. The show was very interesting and beautiful.I liked it a lot and the artist were very good and talented.
So this was my experience with the theatre in a forign language....

BANKSY

Banksy is a graffiti artist , activist and painter . Banksy works on streets , walls and bridges of cities through the world . Banksy was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol
He was inspired by local artist and his work was part of the larger Bristol underground scene . During this time he met Steve Lazarides
 and became his agent , his graffiti is about messages : anti war , capitalism and anti establishment , his subject are often rats , policemen , soldiers childdren and eldery . No one knows Banksy and he is a criminal for police but they can't catch him
